Imagine, after a long day at work, you get back home and realize that your lovely bedroom is dominated by the mosquitos and some other bugs flying around.
And, without a minute of hesitation, you grab the Raid insecticide and start spraying all over the bedroom. I mean, I think we all would do that. Yet, at that moment, my friend, I think the question still has not come to your mind: “Is it safe to sleep in the bedroom if you’ve just sprayed raid?”
Well, after knowing about the jeopardy of Raid inhaling, I think you would have to consider it again.

The Jeopardy of Raid Inhaling
Raid has always been advertised as a safe insecticide that would not cause any major health problems for human beings. However, we cannot avoid the fact that this spray consists of many different chemical components that would affect our body one way or another.
Raid contains pyrethroid, allethrin, cyfluthrin, and many other chemicals. Even though these chemicals are claimed to be less poisonous to humans, we cannot be positive about inhaling these chemical components. Many have declared to have experienced on-going headaches and nausea after inhaling Raid when using, forcing them to see the doctor or clean the whole room afterwards.
So, Is It Safe to Sleep in The Bedroom If You’ve Just Sprayed Raid?
Without a doubt, no!
As I have mentioned earlier, the toxic chemicals within the Raid can still somewhat affect people’s health when you inhale the smell. Therefore, there’s no way sleeping in a room full with this Raid scent would be safe.
And, I believe that no one would risk their lives as well as their beloved lives by sleeping in a room full of this odour.
What To Do After Spraying Raid in The Bedroom?
Keep Babies and Pets Away from The Room
After acknowledging the dangers of Raid, I recommend you take your child (or children) out of the room. This scent is harmful to adults already, I would not dare to imagine how risky it would be to let the children inhale this scent.
The insecticide is designed to be like millions of small drops of Raid ejecting from the Raid bottle and flying all around the room. Therefore, it would be very easy to have some of them meet the babies’ bodies and stay there for a while.
If the scent is left in the babies’ hands or skin, it would be very dangerous for them to put their fingers or toes into their mouths. And if you sleep with your babies inside a room that has just been sprayed Raid, the density of Raid would be too much for a child to handle and can make them dizzy, or even cause some worse scenarios.
And for the pets, the animal could easily have this smell around their paws, fur, etc. and could carry the scent to everywhere, or even lick it by accident and cause some severe disease for the animal.
Wait for At Least Three Hours Before Going into The Bedroom Again
Normally it would take about two or three hours for the Raid to be completely wiped out. However, depending on the kind of Raid, there can be various ways of dealing with these smells.
The simplest way is to spray on the exact insect you see in the room and then clean the rest of it later on. However, some of the Raid requires to be left in the room for a while before opening all the windows to let the clean air outside oozing in. Some other kinds need to be left there for a night as it would help prevent the insects in the future. So, I recommend you read your insecticide’s instruction to identify its uses and how to deal with the leftover scent.
Want to Hear My Thoughts?
Well, I think there are different places in the house you can sleep in for a night, right? Like the couch in the living room, the guest room, etc. As I said before, we never know how much this insecticide could affect our health, so protecting our well-being as well as our beloveds’ is a must.
Is it safe to sleep in the bedroom if you’ve just sprayed Raid? I can tell that it is definitely not, and I advise you not to do that.
If you want to spray Raid, make sure that your little kids and pets could not go anywhere near the room for the day, making sure that they would not be able to touch or smell Raid.
There are also different ways to get rid of the bugs or mosquitos like mosquito coil or herb oil, etc. So, as I have given you all of the information, I think you would be able to decide by now. Good luck!
