When we invest money in an item, we expect it to perform well over the long term. The carpet cleaner is the same. We’ve expected it to work every time we turn it on.

Unfortunately, one day your brushes don’t spin on the Bissell ProHeat 2X. Below we will analyze some problems and provide several tips for you if the brushes are not rotating.

Brushes Don’t Spin On The Bissell ProHeat 2X – Why?

BISSELL ProHeat 2X Revolution

What Should We Do?

1. Check The Machine Handle

Make sure that the lower machine handle is in the right position.

As in design, you need to set the handle release bar and the lower handle at a 90-degree angle. This position also helps to limit the case of forgetting and leaving the machine with a spinning brush in one place for too long, abrasing your carpet.

In that way, you will not be able to leave the vacuum in one place with the spinning brush and abrasion of your carpet.

2. Remove Hairs

Another common issue that prevents the brush from spinning is the hairs. Hairs wrap around the brushes and cause clogging.

You can avoid this by vacuuming the floor before using ProHeat 2X. You need to remove hair from the brush after each use.

If the clogging is worse, you can use scissors to cut the hairs, but be careful not to cut into belts or brush rolls.

3. Brush Belt

You need to check whether the brush belt slips off the brush, stretches, or breaks completely.

In this case, you can only replace the new belt. First of all, you need to remove the bottom cover of the machine, the cover material throughout the belt, and then the black handle holding the belt. Replace the brush strap by wrapping one end of the new belt around the brush and the other end around the metal gear.

4. Check Brushes

If the brushes break, you will need to buy a new one.

Follow the aforementioned steps to get to the brush. Remove the belt to take out the broken brushes. Put the new brushes into 2 sockets. Install the belt in the previous position.

You can buy new brushes from the Bissell Company.

What Advice For Maintenance Of The Bissell ProHeat 2X?

We recommend doing some simple steps to keep the Bissell ProHeat 2X running at the maximum capacity.

1. Remove hairs from the brush and clean the brush each time to have a powerful effect.

2. Drain any remaining cleaning solutions from the machine.

3. Clean the dirty water tank after each use with hot water to remove any remaining solution that could harden in the spray line.

4. Rinse the faucet. Suck clean water from the bowl or spout to clean the faucet. Once done, lift the tap at the end and stretch the hose to rinse the water.

5. Wipe the outside of your machine with a soft cloth if necessary.

6. Make sure all machine parts are dry after use.

In Conclusion

Bissell Proheat 2X is the hottest carpet washing machine recently. It treats stains and unpleasant odors effectively. This machine is especially suitable if your family has children or pets. Sometimes, you might see the brushes don’t spin on the Bissell ProHeat 2X. And we hope this information above could help you and keep your Bissell Proheat 2X running smoothly for a long time.
